The 2018 Metro Detroit National College Fair

We are looking forward to once again hosting the Metro Detroit National College Fair at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan! It’s a GREAT opportunity for students to learn more about the possible college options available to them! In addition, to over 100 colleges and universities from across the country that will be present, we will have sessions for the students on Financial Aid & Scholarship, NCAA Eligibility, The Common Application, ACT, SAT and more! PLEASE help us get students and their parents to this FREE NATIONAL college fair by promoting the college fair with your students & families.

If you are a high school or organization, we hope that you plan to bus students to the 2018 Metro Detroit College Fair.  Please email Michelle Pattison at [email protected]  if you will be bringing a bus of students, so we may plan for you.  Please include school name, number of students, and arrival time.

All students should pre-register before they arrive!

  1. Students should register online at www.gotomyncf.com. Select Metro Detroit, click on “Register Now” and complete and submit the form.
  2. Each student should fill out the form and print their barcode pass. (Counselors, please collect and pass them out on the bus.)
  3. Many of the colleges in attendance will have a barcode scanner in their booth.  When a student allows a college to scan the bar code, the student’s information will be given to the college electronically.  It’s the easiest and most effective way to navigate a NACAC college fair.  No more filling out information cards on site!

Busing Information:

  • When arriving, wait for a “College Fair Host” to board your bus for check-in.
  • The suggested time for high schools to attend is 1.5 hours.
  • Arrive no later than 10:30 am.
  • Be selective about students attending (i.e. above a 2.5 GPA)
  • Prepare students to ask meaningful questions and make good use of their time.
