Arbor Circle is seeking a Development Director with a passion for and the expertise to support our agency’s mission and services. This full time position is responsible for the oversight of all annual funds, major gift, and planned giving activities including identifying, researching and securing funds available through individuals, foundations, and businesses. Qualified candidates will work collaboratively with a variety of partners from the community, Board, agency leadership, development team and volunteers to promote and engage the community in the agency’s mission. In addition this position will oversee the development department, staff and volunteers and strategize ongoing and sustainable fund development opportunities. Qualified candidates will have:
- Minimum of three years fund development leadership (5 years preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences
- Knowledge of West Michigan region’s philanthropic community
- Experience with non-profit organizations
- Ability to inspire confidence
- Proven success in managing various volunteer committees
- Ability to supervise staff
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Social Media and Fund Development Software (Giftworks preferred)
